"It does not matter whether medicine is old or new, so long as it brings about a cure. It matters not whether theories be eastern or western, so long as they prove to be True."

WHAT IS VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURE?
Acupuncture is an ancient Oriental method of therapy and is used in a wide variety of human and animal disorders. It is a therapy first developed by the Ancient Chinese that consists of stimulating designated and precise points on the surface of the body by the insertion of fine sterilized needles, or electrical stimulation. These stimulate specific points on the body which affect certain biochemical processes in a beneficial way.
Veterinary acupuncture is a healing modality which deals with the individual animal as a living energetic being, rather than simply as a catalogue of signs and symptoms.
Acupuncture has been used to successfully treat animals as well as humans for at least 2000 years. It is still the treatment of choice for one quarter of the world's population for many problems.
Veterinary acupuncture is used for the relief of pain and improving the function of various systems of an animal's body via stimulation of the proper reflex points. These points are mainly located in the superficial muscles and skin.
Acting primarily through the central nervous system, acupuncture affects the musculoskeletal, hormonal and cardiovascular systems.
